Windows partition size vs Ubuntu - how to know which is which
When installing Ubuntu, I was given the option to choose the partition size. However, it didn't specify which side of the dual choice was for Windows and which for Ubuntu. I only want a smaller size for Windows and the bulk of my 320 gb HDD for Ubuntu. I chose to set the size on the left of the screen as 50 gb and the right side as 270 gb. However, I think (I'm a newbie) that I got 50 gb for Ubuntu and 270 gb for Windows which I don't intend to use unless I have to. I can't believe the installation process is so un-helpful.
I'm now trying to reinstall Ubuntu (I didn't restart the computer after it installed), but it's sitting in a apparent endless time warp with no indication of what it's doing.\
Can anyone help me?
